As announced mid-June 1997, plan to transfer St Etienne-du-Rouvray´s mill to OTOR has been completed 23rd July, 1997. According to the agreement, the mill will stop producing magazine paper in January 1998 and will start manufacturing light testliner and fluting.
Even after this operation, UPM-Kymmene continues to be the world´s leading LWC manufacturer with an annual capacity of 2 million tonnes.
Chapelle Darblay, Grand Couronne mill, remains a UPM-Kymmene subsidiary producing newsprint grades.
