The UPM Finesse art paper range offers you printing and finishing options that are as multifaceted as life itself. UPM’s new campaign, called “True life”, showcases the techniques for producing images that create a vivid impression.
The centrepiece of the campaign is the new UPM Finesse brochure. This 24-page brochure features the four different finish options available in the UPM Finesse art paper range: gloss, premium silk, silk and matt. Each surface is further enhanced by the use of various finishing techniques, such as embossing, die-cutting, varnishing or scenting.
Living up to its slogan, the “True life” campaign presents real-life examples to demonstrate the impact of the various finishing techniques on different paper surfaces. The jewellery, beauty and fashion sectors particularly appreciate the glossy surface of UPM Finesse gloss that reproduces brilliant images in fine detail. High-relief embossing and spot UV varnishing have been used to highlight the subtle appeal of caviar, giving the print a natural three-dimensional character.
The somewhat more matt surface of UPM Finesse premium silk still provides a high print gloss and is the perfect choice, be it for conveying emotions or information. The Finesse brochure depicts a shiny Jaguar polished with love and care. The natural character of solid wood flooring is best portrayed on UPM Finesse Silk with a scented finish. For printed products containing large amounts of text, the matt surface of UPM Finesse matt is the ideal solution. Add a special varnish and you can actually see the champagne sparkle.
“Thanks to versatile finishing techniques, it is possible to create printed images that appeal to many senses,” explains Anke Böckmann, Brand Manager for graphic papers at UPM. “This not only attracts the reader's attention but also gives the printed images greater depth and makes them look more natural. ‘True to life’ says it all in a nutshell! This is further enhanced by the consistently superior surface of our Finesse papers with their remarkable whiteness and high opacity.”
