EcoVadis
Assessing Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable procurement in global supply chains

UPM is among the 1% of over 130,000 companies assessed across over 180 countries to receive the Platinum score, the highest level of recognition, provided by EcoVadis. The sustainability assessment is based on UPM’s performance as a supplier.

 

 

CDP Programme
Evaluating transparency, awareness, management and leadership in climate change, forests and water security

UPM received a double ‘A’ score for our leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change and forests. UPM is one of a small number of companies to achieve a double 'A' out of more than 21,000 companies assessed.

 

 

Dow Jones Sustainability Index
Describing top-performing companies in sustainability from each sector on a global and regional level

DJSI is based on corporate environmental, social and governance performance, assessing issues such as climate change mitigation, supply chain standards, labour practices, corporate governance and risk management. UPM is listed as the forest and paper industry leader in the Dow Jones European and World Sustainability Indices for 2023 - 2024.

 

 

S&P Global’s Sustainability Yearbook
Evaluating environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices

UPM was recognised with a Top 10% S&P Global ESG Score in the Sustainability Yearbook 2024 by S&P Global. UPM was ranked in the Paper and Forest Products industry and receive this recognition for our excellent sustainability performance. 

 

 

MSCI ESG ratings
Managing environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks and opportunities

MSCI ESG Research provides ratings on global public companies, according to each company’s exposure to the most significant industry-specific ESG risks and its ability to manage those risks relative to its peers. UPM received an AAA rating in the assessment.

 

 

Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI)
Tracking performance of transparency in gender-data reporting

UPM is among the 484 public companies globally and one of the three Finnish companies in this index. The GEI lists the companies most committed to transparency in gender reporting and advancing women’s equality.
